What We Offer
Three considered services — nothing more, nothing less
Pension Statement Health Check
A short, fixed-fee review of your pension and EPF statements. The lawyer reads the documents alongside you, explains each line in plain English, and notes anything worth a closer look. Many clients leave simply reassured that everything is in order — and that outcome suits us well.
- Plain-English explanation of every line
- No obligation to proceed further
- Fixed fee — no surprise charges
Survivor & Dependant Benefit Claims
Compassionate assistance for widows, widowers, and dependent children pursuing survivor pensions, EPF death benefits, and related entitlements. We manage the paper-heavy process — death certificates, marriage records, employer statements — so your family is not burdened during a period of grief.
- Full document handling on your behalf
- Amanah Raya guidance where applicable
- Patient, empathetic process throughout
Pension Trust & Hibah Structuring
Considered structuring of pension proceeds and retirement savings through wills, hibah, and family trust arrangements suited to your faith, family, and circumstances. Documents are drafted slowly, reviewed together, and revised as understanding deepens. The aim is a settled plan — not a quick signature.
- Muslim and non-Muslim estate planning
- Syariah-aware advisor coordination
- Thorough review at every draft stage

Frequently Asked
Questions we hear often
Do I need a lawyer to check my EPF or pension statements?
You are not legally required to engage a lawyer for this. Many clients, however, find that having a professional read the statements alongside them surfaces questions they had not thought to ask — and occasionally flags items that deserve attention. Our Pension Statement Health Check is designed precisely for those who want a second pair of eyes before making any decisions.
My spouse recently passed away. How do I begin claiming the EPF benefits?
We are sorry for your loss. The process involves gathering a number of documents — death certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificates for dependent children, and the deceased's employment records, among others. We handle this on your behalf so you are not navigating bureaucracy during a difficult time. Please call or write to us; we will explain the steps gently and clearly.
What is hibah and is it suitable for my pension savings?
Hibah is a gift made during one's lifetime under Islamic law — a way of transferring assets to chosen recipients that can work alongside or in place of faraid inheritance distribution. Whether it is suitable depends on your family composition, the nature of your retirement savings, and your wishes. We discuss this carefully before recommending any particular structure.
Are your fees charged by the hour?
No. Each service is offered at a fixed fee agreed before any work begins. The amounts are stated clearly on our Solutions page and in our initial conversation. If the scope of your matter turns out to be different from the standard engagement, we discuss this openly before proceeding further.
Can a non-Muslim client use your trust structuring service?
Yes, certainly. Our Pension Trust and Hibah Structuring service covers both Muslim and non-Muslim clients. For non-Muslim clients, we work with conventional wills and family trust arrangements governed by Malaysian civil law. For Muslim clients, we incorporate hibah and other Syariah-compliant tools, coordinating with qualified Syariah advisors where required.
How long does the trust structuring process take?
It varies, and we would rather not rush it. Some clients are ready to finalise within two to three meetings; others find that their circumstances or family situation requires more reflection and revision. There is no deadline on our side, and we do not press for decisions. The documents are only signed when you feel fully settled on them.
