Our Approach

How we work with clients

Each engagement at Naluri Wira begins with a careful reading of the documents at hand — pension statements, EPF records, death certificates, or draft trust instruments, depending on the matter. We do not make assumptions about what a client needs before understanding what their documents show.

The fee for each service is stated clearly and agreed in writing before any work begins. There are no hourly additions, no incidental charges, and no obligation to engage further after a review if the client feels their situation is in order.

We work in English and Bahasa Malaysia. For Muslim clients, we coordinate with Syariah advisors where the matter requires it. For all clients, we set aside enough time to explain what we are doing and why — at a pace that makes sense.

Reviewing a pension statement

Service 01

Pension Statement Health Check

A short, fixed-fee review designed for clients who want a second opinion on their pension and EPF statements before making decisions. The lawyer reads the documents alongside you, explains each line in plain English, and notes any items that may benefit from closer attention.

There is no obligation to take further steps after the meeting. Many clients leave reassured that everything is in order — and the firm is content with that outcome.

What the review covers

  • EPF (KWSP) contribution and balance review
  • Pension entitlement figures explained in plain terms
  • Nomination status and its legal implications
  • Items flagged for further attention, if any
  • Short summary note provided after the session

Process

  1. 1 Client shares pension and EPF statements ahead of the meeting
  2. 2 Lawyer reviews documents and prepares notes before the session
  3. 3 60–90 minute meeting in the office or by video call
  4. 4 Brief summary note sent within three working days

Fixed Fee

RM 320

Service 02

Survivor & Dependant Benefit Claims

Compassionate assistance for widows, widowers, and dependent children pursuing survivor pensions, EPF death benefits, and related entitlements. The firm handles the paper-heavy process so that the family is not burdened with administrative work during a period of grief.

Where statutory beneficiaries are unclear, the firm offers patient guidance through the relevant procedures, including the Amanah Raya process where it applies.

What we handle

  • Death certificate, marriage and birth record coordination
  • EPF death benefit claim preparation and submission
  • KWAP survivor pension application for civil servant families
  • Correspondence with EPF Board and relevant agencies
  • Amanah Raya referral and guidance where beneficiaries are unclear

Process

  1. 1 Initial conversation to understand the family's situation
  2. 2 Document checklist provided and collection managed by the firm
  3. 3 Claims prepared and submitted on the family's behalf
  4. 4 Progress updates provided; follow-up with agencies as needed

Timeline varies depending on agency processing times, typically four to ten weeks from submission.

Fixed Fee

RM 640

Service 03

Pension Trust & Hibah Structuring

Considered structuring of pension proceeds and retirement savings through wills, hibah, and family trust arrangements suited to the client's faith, family, and circumstances. The firm works with both Muslim and non-Muslim clients, and coordinates with Syariah-aware advisors where required.

Documents are drafted slowly, reviewed with the client, and revised as understanding deepens. The goal is a settled, well-understood plan rather than a quick signature on a standard form.

What we prepare

  • Wills for non-Muslim clients, reviewed and revised with care
  • Hibah instruments for Muslim clients — Syariah-compliant
  • Family trust arrangements tailored to the client's circumstances
  • EPF nomination review and update where needed
  • Coordination with Syariah advisors for Muslim estate matters

Process

  1. 1 Initial consultation to understand family structure and wishes
  2. 2 First draft prepared and shared with the client for review
  3. 3 Revision meetings — as many as needed
  4. 4 Final documents signed only when the client is fully settled

Fixed Fee

RM 890
