Six reasons clients come back — and refer others
Focused Practice Area
Naluri Wira works in pension and retirement estate law only. This is not a department in a larger firm — it is the whole of what we do, which means deeper familiarity with EPF rules, KWAP procedures, and the instruments available to clients in this area.
Fixed, Pre-Agreed Fees
Every service carries a stated fee set before work begins. Clients who have previously dealt with hourly-billed legal matters often tell us this is among the most welcome differences. The total cost is known from the start.
Unhurried by Design
The firm does not take on more client work than it can serve thoughtfully. Appointments are unhurried; documents are read carefully; questions are welcomed. We are not measuring our time against your consultation.
Plain English Communication
Legal documents can be difficult to follow, particularly for clients who have not previously had reason to read them carefully. We explain each section in language that makes sense, in English or Bahasa Malaysia, without condescension.
Cross-Community Competence
Malaysia's retirement savings and estate frameworks differ meaningfully between Muslim and non-Muslim clients. We are comfortable working across both, and we maintain working relationships with Syariah advisors for matters requiring their expertise.
Written Engagement Every Time
Every engagement is set out in a written letter before work begins — scope, fee, timeline. Clients know what they have agreed to, and can refer back to it. This is a basic professional standard we consider non-negotiable.
Professional Expertise
The lawyers at Naluri Wira have worked in pension and EPF law for a combined period exceeding twenty years. This includes representing clients before the EPF Board, assisting families through KWAP survivor claims, and drafting estate instruments ranging from simple wills to multi-layered family trust structures. The specific knowledge required for this work is not something that can be replicated by a general practitioner taking on an occasional pension matter.
Process and Organisation
Pension and estate matters involve a great many documents, and the sequence in which they are gathered and submitted matters. The firm has established clear processes for each of its three service types — developed through repeated experience — so that nothing is missed and clients are not asked to chase documents twice. Our administrative approach is systematic without being impersonal.
Client Service
We are aware that our clients are often dealing with matters that carry emotional weight — a lifetime of savings to protect, a loss to navigate, a family future to arrange. Our manner in every engagement reflects that awareness. Clients hear from us promptly, are kept informed of progress, and are never made to feel that their questions are a burden.
Value and Pricing
Our fees reflect the time and expertise genuinely required for each service — not an inflated hourly rate applied regardless of efficiency. The Pension Statement Health Check, at RM 320, is designed to be accessible to clients who simply want a second opinion before deciding whether to take any further steps. More complex structuring work is priced to reflect its scope. All fees are transparent before any work begins.
Outcomes
The measure of a pension law engagement is rarely dramatic. It is the client who leaves the health check knowing that their statements are in order. The family whose survivor claim is processed without unnecessary delay. The retired teacher whose hibah arrangement is settled, signed, and understood — leaving nothing uncertain for the people she cares about. These are the outcomes we aim for, consistently and without fanfare.

What Sets Us Apart
Distinctive features of our practice
The "no obligation after the health check" commitment
After a Pension Statement Health Check, clients are under no obligation to take further steps with us or anyone else. Many leave simply reassured. We consider this the right way to offer a review service, and we state it plainly from the outset.
Documents drafted slowly, reviewed together
For trust and hibah structuring work, we do not present a completed document for signature at the end of one meeting. Drafts are shared, reviewed with the client, and revised as understanding of the situation deepens. The process takes as long as it needs to.
Grief-aware claim handling
Survivor benefit work is handled by people who understand that the client is grieving. We manage the administrative process — document gathering, form submission, correspondence with EPF and KWAP — so the family's attention can remain where it belongs.
Referral to the right place, not a stretch
If a client's matter falls outside our area — say, a complex commercial inheritance dispute — we say so and, where possible, suggest a suitable referral. We would rather lose a fee than provide inadequate counsel on something we do not know well enough.
